The green dot means the game or person is currently playing.

I'M ON MAC. CAN I PLAY AGAINST MY PC FRIENDS?
Yes! Some games offer cross-platform play between Mac and PC and are listed here. The others are not compatible at all, usually due to technical reasons with the games themselves. This is not a limitation of GameRanger.

Alternatively, if you have an Intel Mac, you can install Windows on it using Boot Camp, and play your PC friends with all games that way. You will need to get PC versions of those games.

WHAT DOES VERSION ERROR MEAN WHILE JOINING THE GAME?
It appears when u and the host have different version of patches installed on your respective pc's for the game {like now every one uses 1.03 patch installed for the game with 1.02 crack}

You and the player with whom you want to play with must have the same patch version and crack to play multi-player or the version issue will arise.

WHY DOES GAME RANGER NICK NAME APPEARS ITALIC WHILE IN THE GAME ROOM?
It appears when your or host ping is bad.

HOW DOES PING APPEARS IN THE GAME RANGER LOBBY?
bad ping appears red
good ping appears green

DOES ITALIC NICK NAME CAUSES PROBLEM IN THE GAME?
Yes, If any player in the game room appears italic to you, then either you or the player has italic nick name can join the game, both are unable to join the game together because they have different ping pitch.

CAN ITALIC NICK NAME PROBLEM BE SOLVED, IF YES THEN HOW?
If any player appears italic to you then one of you or that player must re-join the game room or just re-login the game ranger to solve the ping issue.

Correction..Italic happens when Gameranger has problem matching the router
